“Eifel Explorer”

School trip to Manderscheid/Eifel from 30th August to 3rd September 2010

Welcome to a region which is unique worldwide due to its geological evolution! Manderscheid a small village situated in the south of the Eifel and to the north of Trier offers a multitude of possibilities of exploring and touching nature. Our fresh air activities will be taking place in wonderful woods and castles while the volcanic origin of the area gives us a breathtaking silhouette. We travel to the impressive scenery of 45 million years old living history!

Besides the woods we find the Jugend-Hüttendorf Vulkaneifel nearby the wander routes which will be hosting us for this exciting week in late summer.

We are accommodated in the Jugend-Hüttendorf in wooden huts, in shelters and maybe just under the stars. The huts are cosy and offer beds, tables, seats and of course cupboards and heating.
We have several dayrooms on our own so that we can work in groups and be undisturbed. On the terrain there are fire places, a football pitch as well as facilities for volleyball and table tennis tables.
Of course we have arranged biological whole food full board for the pupils.
